The Carroll Scholar Program is a four-year, invitation only program designed for students who want to be part of a community of scholars interested in making the most of their experience at John Carroll in preparation for college. Only eighth-grade students with a competitive national composite score—in the 90th percentile or above on the High School Placement Test (HSPT)— are eligible. As Carroll Scholars, students are not only recognized and rewarded for academic success but can take the most rigorous course offerings available through our Advanced Placement Capstone Diploma Program. Students successfully passing the requisite Advanced Placement courses graduate with an additional AP Capstone distinction. This program helps our scholars to aspire to the top echelons of higher education.
